Another Winona bank

George Maher was a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright. He designed a bank in the Egyptian Revival style with prairy school influences.

Two huge 37 ft, 32 ton columns are each made of a single piece og granite. The bank interior is polished white marble everywhere. Tiffany Studios created all of the stained glass windows.

We went on an architectural walking tour in Winona, MN. last Friday. One of my favorites was this bank designed by Purcell and Elmslie, I used my Lumix FX3 set for no flash and image stablization. I used Picasa to edit them, exported them resized to 1200px to my pictures folder in Windows XP, then batch uploaded them to my VOX  photos. This really makes  the building and blogging about collections of photos flow.
